In the second airing of the episode, a different Couch Gag was used. A four-armed, one-eyed green octopus-alien enjoys a can of beer on the Simpsons couch. It makes its escape through a trap door in the floor before the family arrive. The Simpsons leap on the couch - and they all fit.
