Lisa spends the days before Thanksgiving building a centerpiece dedicated to female heroes of American history. In order to make room for more food on the table, Bart accidentally throws Lisa's centerpiece into the fireplace, destroying it. Sent to his room with no Thanksgiving supper, Bart escapes out his window and wanders the city, eventually landing at a homeless shelter where he is filmed by a television crew.
